The Beach

The water is freezing cold, and it is practically impossible for any stray to hunt for sea creatures. The birds have migrated south, so prey is pretty scarce right now. Humans don't come here though, which is a major positive for the strays. But, dog catchers still roam around, so you can't be too care-free..

The City of Tapeste

Humans still roam around to go to work and get hot chocolate and such, so it is still hard for the strays to roam about. Prey is scarce here also, but the trash and scraps that the humans leave make up for that very well. The city is really the best place to get food and find a warm place to lie down and rest. The lights that humans start to put up light up at night, which makes the surrounding atmosphere a very pretty sight. Dog catchers roam here the most.

The Forest

Some snow falls here at times, so the prey is the most scarce out of all the territories. Although dog catchers never really go here, strays are still finding it hard to survive. The river doesn't freeze up, so the fish can still be caught, but as you go deeper into the forest, it gets colder and more dangerous.

Tapeste, an island close to Hawaii with one big dream: to become separated from the U.S.A. With their crude and unusual way of handling things, the U.S were more than happy to get rid of them. As they formed their own government: The SGT's(simplistic government of Tapeste), they banned things and made rules against others. The island seemed so out of control to the U.S and it was predicted that they wouldn't last a couple of weeks with their crazy rules and laws. So they just decided to wait and see what would happen.

Eventually, after all the laws, constitutions and bans have been finished, Tapeste became a quiet, calm, populous island. Soon after a couple of weeks or so, the government decided to take control of more land and form ways to do so. They wanted total world domination. They first tried to create some new, very destructive nuclear weapons; which wasn't achieved due to the belief that they weren't powerful enough. They wanted something that the U.S couldn't match whatsoever. The idea hit them like a bullet into a deer. A whole mutated super-human army. In this way, they wouldn't have to risk the lives of the commoners. They created three chambers(which took awhile to build): one occupied by a normal, helpless human, the second, occupied by a snarling, vicious dog, and the third were the end result could be seen.

The SGT scientists checked their calculations about a hundred times but it wasn't until their 50th try that they ended up getting exactly what they wanted. A wolf-looking, snaggle-toothed, red-eyed being emerged. It had razor sharp claws and could walk on two or four legs(or paws rather). As soon as its howl filled the air, the SGT's smirked and started daydreaming about world domination. They wrote down every detail including its thick brown fur and overly long fangs. They were so busy studying the creature that they didn't notice the other test dogs escaped from the building(which wasn't heavily guarded due to everyone checking out the being.

Once outside, the dogs ran and hid in any place they could possibly think of. The test may have not turned them into half-human, half-dog government meat puppets, but it did give them increases intelligence, strength and agility. It was as if all the humans energy was drained and emptied into their bodies. After the SGT's noticed the test dogs were missing, they realized they could not make anymore creatures until they were captured. The government had made the mistake of taking every single dog in the island. And they could not ask the U.S for any help because they have parted ways and it would be very suspicious for them to ask for a couple hundred or so dogs.

Even though the government tried everything in their power to catch those dogs, they were just too hard for them to catch. After a couple of years of experimentation on ways to catch them, they still had nothing to show for. The test dogs have now split into packs and swore they would never be caught by the humans and their cruel and simplistic ways.

Even now, they are forming new ways to escape the island, and escape the humans......for good.
